I'm 39 years old, I live close to Nancy (France) with my wife and her 2 children. And yes, English is definitely not my natural language .
No dog, no cat... but more and more RC models.

Job

I worked for several companies, either in France or Spain, either in import-export and logistics, office equipment, software or hifi/home cinema. I now work in watches and jewels.

Hobbies

 Movies: I'm fond of theaters, good sound and image. My DVD collection is quite huge, too much says my wife...
 Music: especially hard rock. I listen to very different kinds of music: as soon as there's both rhythm and melodies, there are chances I like it. Rap, electronic and classical music are not included in my playlists, except very rare exceptions.
 Reading: I read a lot, especially science ficion (Asimov, Van Vogt, Eschbach...) as well as thrillers (Loevenbruck, Ayerdhal, Ligny...).
 Computer stuff: I'm especially interested in what I can do with it, like making this site for example.
 Go kart that I practice quite often: a few centimeters above the ground, you feel like going real fast.
 RC models (of course): I like building a kit, restoring it and driving it.

Black Hole Sun

This is my nickname on message boards. It means several things: first, it is a Soundgarden piece of art, but also a fascination for black holes and my great interest for anything related to space. Black Hole Sun is a paradox in astronomy: a sun and a black hole can't live close to each other.
Metaphorically, the sun creates life (well, not too close) whereas the black hole is its absolute opposite (as far as science knows about them). These are two aspects of my personality, both smiling and sad sometimes.
I'm often referred to as BHS (quite useful in video games ).

My avatar on message boards (in particular Hardware.fr and Vintage-RC): it comes from the Coverdale/Page album cover. I love the musical atmosphere and the symbol of two tracks gathering to a common destination. Maybe Dave Coverdale (Deep Purple) and Jimmy Page (Led Zeppelin) thought about this when making this album.

Sales / Trades

For sales, that's easy: none of my models is for sale. I pile up, I store, but I don't sell... and I make deals with the wife. Please don't contact me for advices on how to manage your RC relationship with your wife: I'm busy enough dealing with mine

For trades, I'm in constant search of new models, whatever their age or their state. Feel free to contact me.

Site philosophy

My sole interest is to share my hobby: I don't work for a model store or a distributor, I don't hold any share anywhere and I'm not affiliated in any way with Tamiya or any of their subsidiaries.

This website only exists because I'm a fan and beacuse I like to share my passion. Everything started in 2005 with a basic personal page in which I presented the grid computing. This is the "historical" reason why any RC related page shows the "RC_" prefix in its name: the content was dedicated to non-RC topics, the RC section showing up in 2007 in the miscellaneaous category. The evolution of my RC passion quickly made the site focus change.

My motto is to make this website a useful ressource for you, to make it help you, find inspiration and dream. I dedicate time to make it and maintain it, as well as financial ressources to make it available: this is my choice and this is my way to share my passion with you. No one should ever pay a cent to get access to information: my website will forever remain freely available for everyone, at least as long as I can dedicate time and money for it.
